Zeolite Bath Soak Recipes

Points to Remember

Use warm water for your bath, don’t have the water too hot as a hot bath can be debilitating especially when it is very detoxifying.

  • Don’t stay in the bath for too long, 20 minutes is enough.
  • Wait for an hour or so after eating before you soak then refrain from eating for at least 30 minutes afterwards.
  • Zeolite baths are very relaxing and remove a lot of tension and toxins from your whole system. Rest for 30 minutes afterwards to let yourself readjust.
  • As well as detoxifying and calming your system zeolite bath soaks calm itchy, irritated skin.
  • Use rounded or heaped tablespoons when measuring the minerals into your bath.
  • A few drops of essential oil can also be added to your bath.

Zeolite Bath Soak

Add 2 tablespoons of zeolite to a warm bath.

Mineral Bath Soak Blend

Add 1 tablespoon zeolite and 1 tablespoon white clay or therapeutic clay to a warm bath.

Creamy Bath Soak

Add 1 tablespoon full cream powdered milk, 1 tablespoon zeolite and 1 tablespoon white clay (optional).  Blend ingredients together, add a little warm water, stir to dissolve before adding to a warm bath.

Coconut Bath Soak

Bath Bag and Body Mask Recipes

Lots of interesting ingredients can be put into these little bags, here are two examples:

Herbal Bath Bag

2 teaspoons zeolite
2 teaspoons clay
4 teaspoons dried herbs or flowers
A few drops of jojoba or macadamia oil
A few drops of essential lavender oil
15 cm square of unbleached calico *

Place the dry ingredients onto the square of unbleached calico then sprinkle the oils on top.  Bring the edges of the calico up and tie it like a Christmas pudding with a length of raffia or ribbon.  Throw the bag into the bath and leave it under the running water.  Rub your body all over with the bath bag then squeeze it several times.  Leave the bag in the bath and soak for about 20 minutes.

*     If you can't get any unbleached calico, try using the 100% natural fibre biodegradable superwipes which are now available in supermarkets.   I haven't tried them yet, the cloth may have to be at least doubled because of the holes.  Small muslin or organza bags can also be used.

Oatmeal Bath Bag

2 teaspoons zeolite
2 teaspoons clay (optional)
3 teaspoons raw oatmeal
3 teaspoons dried herbs or flowers, optional
A few drops of jojoba or macadamia oil, optional
A few drops of essential oil, optional
15 cm square of unbleached calico

Use the same method of preparation as the Herbal Bath Bag. After it is made place the bath bag in a cup of very hot water and let it soak for about 20 minutes before adding the bag and
the soaking water to the bath.  Squeeze the bag often and rub it all over your body.

Zeolite Body Mask

A zeolite body mask is one of the best ways of detoxifying your skin, even the toxins lying just underneath your skin are drawn out.  Zeolite also exfoliates so your skin will feel very smooth after a mask.

The quantity of zeolite used depends on the size of your body.  Use the recipe for Zeolite Paste in the first aid recipes.  Make it to a thin, easy to spread consistency.  Apply with either your hands or a brush.  Include your face, but not the soles of your feet.  Put it on fairly thickly or it will dry too quickly.

Raise your arms out from your body to let your armpits dry.  The areas which dry first are areas of high energy, the parts which stay wet the longest have low activity.

Always use BFA approved zeolite for body masks.
